Principal Engineer, Software (R5285)
About the role
The role involves developing large, production-quality software systems with a minimum of 15 years of experience. It requires a strong grasp of modern software engineering best practices and high productivity in a mainstream language such as TypeScript, C++, Go, Python, Rust, etc. The candidate should have at least 5 years of experience with React/Node/TypeScript/JavaScript development and web application development (front-end or full-stack). Additionally, the role demands deep understanding of full-stack web development, multi-modal input handling, client-side LLM context management, fluid intelligence to operate effectively in sometimes ambiguous conditions, while finding opportunities to drive technical efforts and force multiply. The candidate should have experience with Linux, Docker, CI/CD environments, hands-on experience with a major cloud platform (Azure, GCP, AWS), and the role requires travel 1-3 times per quarter to a Shield AI location.
Candidates will join an innovative team pushing engineering boundaries.
